Jérémy Doku praised by a Manchester City teammate

Praise has been raining down on the Belgian full-back since his exceptional performance last weekend in the Premier League.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri had rave words for his new teammate Jérémy Doku.

“It’s been a while since we had a player like Doku at City”

Doku scored one goal and assisted on four others in City’s 6-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend. A first-rate performance which earned him the applause of coach Pep Guardiola but also his Spanish teammate.

Rodri believes the Belgian has filled the void left by the departures of former City wingers. He told the English press: “ With the arrival of Doku, we have a player with a profile that we haven’t had for a long time. Maybe Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sané played in a similar style. These fast wingers that we didn’t have.”

Rodri also insisted on the Belgian international’s state of mind: “ Doku feels happy now and I am very happy for him.”
