Invited to a press conference this Friday, Fabio Grosso returned for the first time to the incidents which caused the postponement of the clash between OM and OL.
Five days ago, the Lyon bus was stoned in Marseille, on the sidelines of the closing match of the 10th day of Ligue 1 between OM and OL. An attack which caused Fabio Grosso’s eye injury and the postponement of the meeting. Appearing in front of the media this Friday, Fabio Grosso first gave his news.
“This day should make sport think”
“It’s getting better, it’s getting better. Things have to get better even if we were disappointed, angry, upset. We had a very sad day for sport. This day should make sport think. We cannot put people’s lives in danger. My eye and my health, it’s not that, a bottle comes when I turn my head. That’s not my message, I’m not the problem. There were unacceptable things for our bus, that of the supporters. We experienced something that we were afraid of not being able to tell”confided the Italian coach on the eve of facing FC Metz.

Fabio Grosso then pointed out the security around this risky match. “I have the impression that we took a journey that we should not have taken. I have the impression that we entered a stadium with two motorcycles and two police cars and then we left the stadium with 25 vans and motorcycles, he regretted. We try to do things afterwards but we should do them first. Decisions must be important. I’m not talking about sports but about safety for us. It’s me but it could have been anyone on our bus and the supporters’ bus even if there are people around who are sick in their heads. »
