Very disappointing since the start of the season, Joshua Kimmich may not last long at Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich could soon see one of its main captains leave, in the person of Joshua Kimmich.
Bayern no longer believe in Kimmich
The defensive midfielder is under contract with Bayern until the summer of 2025. According to Sport1, Kimmich is awaiting negotiations for an extension. The Germany international wants some questions answered before making a decision on his future at the club.
For their part, Bayern are in no rush to start talks with the 28-year-old’s representatives. The latter’s drop in yield since the start of the current campaign has led Munich decision-makers to wonder whether a sale is not preferable as long as the player maintains a rating on the market.
Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are closely monitoring Kimmich’s situation. A transfer to another championship is therefore perfectly possible next summer.
