UEFA did not give FC Barcelona any gifts. In the sights of the governing body of European football, the Catalan club appealed after being fined €500,000 for non-compliance with the rules of financial fair play in 2022. Unfortunately for the Blaugranas, the Chamber UEFA’s appeal body confirmed the first judgment on its official website.
“The Appeals Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) has reached a decision in the case of the appeal of FC Barcelona (ESP) against the decision rendered by the first chamber of the CFCB on July 13, 2023. Before the first chamber of the CFCB, FC Barcelona was sentenced to a fine of €500,000 for having wrongly declared, during the 2022 financial year, profits on the sale of intangible assets (other as player transfers) which do not constitute relevant income under the regulations. The CFCB Appeals Chamber has just made a decision to reject the appeal filed by FC Barcelona, to confirm the decision of the first chamber of the CFCB”indicates the press release
