This Wednesday, the CIES Football Observatory, in partnership with Wyscout in charge of collecting data on dribblers under the age of 23 and playing in Europe among the 5 major championships, revealed its ranking as part of its 437 issue. At the head of this one, we find the Spanish nugget of FC Barcelona, Lamine Yamal. The Catalan is ahead of Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli as well as Burnley’s American-Italian winger Luca Koleosho.
In the French championship, it is the young midfielder loaned by Chelsea to Strasbourg, namely Angelo Gabriel who is leading the race ahead of Rayan Cherki (Olympique Lyonnais) and Mohamed Daramy, who arrived in Reims this summer from ‘Ajax Amsterdam. As a reminder, the index used was obtained by multiplying the frequency of successful dribbles in the championship, the success rate of attempted dribbles and the sporting level of the matches played. Finally, only players who have played at least 450 minutes in the league during the current financial year appear in this ranking.
