With almost 467.80 million euros spent this summer and despite record sales of 269.40 million euros, Chelsea have once again established themselves as one of the biggest spending clubs in the transfer window. Already last year, the Blues had dropped 611.49 million euros over the season. With the billion spent already reached in a little over a year, Todd Boehly and his club have put in place the means to strengthen themselves, but this is not reflected in the results for the moment. Eleventh in the Premier League, the Blues are already relegated 11 points from the qualifying positions in the Champions League and even Brighton (7th) is 5 points behind the Londoners.
A hell of a situation of failure considering the means used by Chelsea. Argentine Blues coach Mauricio Pochettino prefers to remain optimistic in the face of this troubled period: “Things that go against you, you have to try to resist them and try to survive. You have to be calm and strong. And don’t lose balance, because it’s easy to blame or say something that will affect others and lead to division within the club.
Mauricio Pochettino calls for stability
Wanting to allow Chelsea to regain a rank more appropriate to its status, the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain player takes a long step back from Chelsea’s current situation: “the important thing is to trust ideas, judgment and to the analysis of why certain things did not happen. Helping the organization to be better and improve, and not make the same mistakes again. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes.”

Precisely with this in mind, Mauricio Pochettino made a strong request to his management explains the Telegraph. Wanting to take more weight in decisions during the next transfer window, he believes that it will not be necessary to radically shake up the squad as was done during the last three transfer windows. “At the moment I think we are a young team, a young team means too many changes this summer because of the circumstances and we suffer sometimes good and bad results, but the performances are consistent” he added. Wanting to restore consistency and stability to a Chelsea team that needs it, Mauricio Pochettino has just warned his leaders on this subject.
