The Blues want to offer themselves new reinforcement in attack and they are prospecting in Germany with this in mind.
Not at all satisfied with the performance of its offensive sector, Chelsea is interested in Bayer Leverkusen striker Florian Wirtz.
Chelsea want Wirtz
British daily The Express reports that the young German international is in the crosshairs of the London team who are looking to fill the void left by the sale of Kai Havertz to Arsenal. Chelsea, after bringing Havertz from Bayer, is therefore looking to do it again with Wirtz.
But the competition is tough: FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also interested in the attacking midfielder. The latter burst into the limelight at the weekend by scoring a pastoral goal in the Bundesliga.
Wirtz made his debut at Bayer at 17 and will celebrate his 20th birthday next May. He therefore still has the whole future ahead of him and Chelsea are hopeful that he can lead to a bright future at Stamford Bridge.
