Inducted last year during the Ballon d’Or ceremony, the Socrates prize is intended to reward players engaged in societal and charitable projects. For this second edition, there were five of them who could claim to win the precious sesame. Among them is Alex Morgan (San Diego), Asisat Oshoala (FC Barcelona), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Antonio Rüdiger and Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid).

And it is officially the Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior who is rewarded for having created his own institute, helping disadvantaged children in Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings. As a reminder, last season, Sadio Mané was rewarded for his help to his region, Casamance in Senegal, through the financing of a new hospital and a school.
