Thiago Silva has hinted he could be moving closer to retirement as his contract with Chelsea comes to an end.
The Brazilian defender signed as a free agent for the Blues in 2020 as a short-term solution, and today and he is still a vital part of their defense. His contract expires next summer, but the 39-year-old appears to be wondering whether his future in football will extend beyond 2024.
The former Parisian spoke out for Sky Italia: “The end of my career is approaching and it’s not a simple thing. I have to think about whether I stop or continue and where I’m going: there’s family, I have two sons who play at Chelsea. »
