Seventh assessment of the season for the ranking of European top scorers. We find the scorers who shook the nets in Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. As for several weeks, it is the Guinean Serhou Guirassy who comes first. Injured and absent during his team’s defeat against Hoffenheim (3-2), he remains credited with 14 goals in 8 matches.
Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis could have joined him since he scored against NEC Nijmegen (1-2) but the match was stopped before its end. At the very end of the match, Bas Dost suffered an illness. While waiting to know if the match will resume or be replayed, he remains stuck at 13 goals in 9 matches. The podium is completed by another Eredivisie player with Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican has 13 goals in 10 matches but failed to find the solution yesterday in a 2-1 defeat against Twente.
Harry Kane on the verge of the podium
Just behind, Harry Kane comes back strong. Author of a great hat-trick against Darmstadt (8-0) with a goal from the central circle, the English striker is in incredible form and has 12 goals in 9 matches. A big comeback for him who is ahead of Lautaro Martinez and his 11 goals in 10 matches. The Argentine striker did not score this time against Roma but his Inter Milan team won 1-0. Different scenario for Erling Haaland. Author of a double during the derby against Manchester United, the Norwegian resumes his march forward with 11 goals in 10 matches.
Also doubled for Kylian Mbappé against Brest. Seventh, the French striker has 10 goals in 9 games and is back on track. The ranking takes on a Turkish accent with Edin Dzeko (8th) and Mauro Icardi (9th) who scored 10 goals in 10 matches. The first scored a hat-trick against Pendikspor (5-0) while the second remained silent against Rizespor (1-0). Finally, tenth place goes to Jude Bellingham with his 10 goals in 10 matches. His double during the Clasico against FC Barcelona (2-1) allows him to regain this ranking.
Kevin Denkey (Cercle Bruges) and Mateo Cassierra (Zenit) failed to reach the top 10 despite their 10 goals. Mame Baba Thiam (Kayserispor), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Leroy Sané (Bayern Munich), Loïs Openda (RB Leipzig), Jonas Wind (Wolfsburg), Andreas Gruber (Austria Vienna), Aboubakary Koita (Saint-Truiden), Heung- min Son (Tottenham) and Luuk de Jong (PSV Eindhoven) follow further with 8 goals.
