Warren Zaire-Emery has never been so close to the France A team. However, Didier Roustan warns of the crazy schedule that could await the Parisian midfielder.

After his particularly satisfying match last Wednesday in the Champions League against AC Milan, Warren Zaire-Emery is now knocking on the door of the French team. Author of several early records with Paris Saint-Germain, it would hardly be surprising to see him play Euro 2024 with the Blues. “He has more than the level to be in the group. In the past, several great players have honored their first selection between 16 and 18 years old”recalls Didier Roustan on The L’Equipe Channel.

However, the journalist brings a downside. “What worries me with Zaire-Emery is being in the same situation as Pedri. Pedri made the Tokyo Olympics and the Euro in 2021 (72 matches in all competitions), then the following season was very complicated. There with Zaire-Emery, we are on a phenomenon which gives much more physically than Pedri. He has only played two matches since the start of the season, he has muscular problems (hamstring). If it’s to fart him…”sighs Didier Roustan.

The former Téléfoot presenter also wants Zaire-Emery to be spared by his club coach. “Football is not like 30 years ago where there were times when you could recover and the body wasn’t put under as much strain. Even if he won’t give a gift, I hope Luis Enrique will let him breathe a little in the championship too.concludes Didier Roustan.
