Real Madrid have confirmed that Aurélien Tchouameni will be injured due to a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of his left foot.

After a difficult first season in the Spanish capital, the French midfielder had established a reputation as an indisputable starter.

In Ancelotti’s team, his defensive presence was essential, and Madrid’s only other option for a pure defensive midfielder in place of Tchouameni is Eduardo Camavinga.

While the club did not reveal the midfielder’s recovery timetable, journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the 23-year-old will be out for six to eight weeks, depending on his recovery.

The Madrilenians will face Rayo Vallecano on Sunday November 5.
