Without much surprise, Manchester City won the derby against United (0-3) on Sunday at Old Trafford, thanks to a double and an assist from Erling Haaland.

The statistic hurts: Erling Haaland now has the same total of 11 goals as Manchester United since the start of the Premier League. Thanks to his stratospheric Norwegian scorer, the reigning English and European champion easily won the Mancunian derby on the program for the 10th day of the championship, this Sunday at Old Trafford (0-3). The season promises to be long and perhaps very bad for the Red Devils…

Haaland first put Pep Guardiola’s team on the right track with a penalty (26th). The VAR had spotted a fault from the opposing center forward, Rasmus Hojlund, blocked at… zero goals in the PL. City continued to dominate the game and their scorer from Scandinavia doubled the lead with a header after returning from the locker room (49th). To kill the suspense before the end of the game, Haaland served Phil Foden for 3-0 (80th). Enough to allow the reigning champion to return to Arsenal tied for 2nd place, two lengths behind the leader, Tottenham.

Opposite, United never managed to react, creating very few chances. Hojlund did not make up for his conceded penalty by wasting a counter-attack, Marcus Rashford was once again catastrophic, and doubles Antony and Anthony Martial were launched a little too late (86th). The residents of Old Trafford are up to 5 wins and as many defeats, to languish (already) in 8th position, nine points behind their noisy neighbor dressed in light blue.
