After 11 matches without scoring with AC Milan and the French team, Olivier Giroud scored twice against Napoli on Sunday, during a huge shock which resulted in a draw (2-2).
After its poor performance on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, during a 3-0 defeat against PSG in the Champions League, AC Milan was more dynamic against Napoli during the shock of the 10th day of Serie A. The Rossoneri led 2-0 before being caught by a team of Rudi Garcia who gave everything throughout the second half to obtain a draw and even come close to a snatch victory (2-2 ).
It was Olivier Giroud who put the Lombards into orbit, with a nice double header from close range (22nd and 31st). The French international, 37, was worried by his lack of success in recent times, since his last goal dates back to September 1, eight matches with his Italian club and three with the French team. He now has 6 goals this season, to be in 2nd place in the scorers rankings.
But Napoli managed a resounding comeback with missiles sent by Matteo Politano (50th) and Giacomo Raspadori (63rd). Mike Maignan did not perform a miracle, before saving his team at the end of the match on a final attempt from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. This allows the reigning champion not to lose ground, remaining 4th in the standings, four points behind the Milanese, who are now 3rd in the standings, two points behind the leader, Inter.
