Former Real Madrid striker Pedja Mijatovic believes the royal club must at all costs bet on Kylian Mbappé rather than Erling Haaland.
Former player and general manager of Real Madrid, Pedja Mijatovic, believes that the Merengue leaders should choose Kylian Mbappé rather than Erling Haaland to strengthen their attack during the next transfer window.
“If we have to spend money it’s on Mbappé”
PSG star Mbappé and Manchester City player Haaland have both been announced as possible defectors from Casa Blanca. But there is only room for one of them to move up front and possibly forget Karim Benzema.
Mijatovic, who himself was a center forward for the Bernabeu side in the mid-aughts, told AS: “Haaland is a football phenomenon, a goalscorer, but he is Norwegian, he will never have the image and influence of a Frenchman.”
The Serbian continued his argument by emphasizing the pedigree of the tricolor genius is much more important than that of the Scandinavian. “Of course, if I had to choose one of them, I would spend the money on Mbappé. He’s a real star. It also comes with the marketing surrounding it. You also have to think about that…”
