Coming off a draw between Sassuolo and Bologna combined with a narrow victory for Torino against Lecce, the 10th day of Serie A continued this Saturday with a confrontation between Juventus Turin and Hellas Verona. Thanks to its victory against AC Milan the previous day, the Old Lady reaffirmed its status as title contender. In the event of a favorable result, Juve could temporarily take the lead in the ranking. At the same time, Hellas Verona has been struggling for several weeks and has not won since August 26. A victory would allow the Venetian team to distance itself from the red zone. Massimiliano Allegri’s men made an aggressive start and had the opportunity to quickly lead. At the end of a magnificent sequence, Moïse Kean deceived the vigilance of Lorenzo Montipo with a heavy strike from outside the area, slightly deflected by Dusan Vlahovic. But the Italian saw his goal canceled for an initial offside position (13th).

Upon receiving a cross from Weston McKennie, the former Parisian finally thought he would open the score but his goal was once again refused for a foul committed at the start of the action after consulting the VAR (53rd).
