The young FC Barcelona winger broke a new record on Saturday during the match against Real Madrid.

On the substitutes’ bench at kick-off FC Barcelona-Real MadridLamine Yamal made history when Xavi decided to give him playing time on Saturday on the pitch at the Barcelona Olympic stadium.

The left winger, 16 years and 107 days old, became the youngest player to play in the famous Clasico. He erases a record that is… 82 years old and held until then by Vicente Martinez (FC Barcelona), 16 years and 278 days.

Unfortunately for him and his Barcelona teammates, Lamine Yamal experienced this small event with a defeat, 2-1, Jude Bellingham’s faultauthor of a double on Saturday for Real Madrid.
