FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is on course to break another club record in the Clasico against Real Madrid this weekend.
The 16-year-old has become a vital player for Barca over the past 12 months and he looks set to start against Los Blancos in Catalonia.
And while his progress impresses, the records continue to fall and be claimed by the latest product to roll off the La Masia production line.
Since April, he has set new benchmarks by becoming the youngest player in the history of FC Barcelona, the youngest player and scorer in the Spanish national team, and the youngest scorer in history of FC Barcelona and La Liga.
This new installment of the Clasico offers Yamal a new opportunity to cross a new barrier, since he will become the youngest player to participate in a Barça – Real duel.
The current record, held by Vicente Martinez, dates back to 1941, when he played for Barcelona against Real Madrid, aged 16 years and 278 days.
Lamal will be 16 years and 107 days old when FC Barcelona host Real Madrid on October 28.
