This Saturday, the ninth day of the Bundesliga continued with Leipzig hosting poorly ranked Cologne. And the least we can say is that RasenBall Sport held its place at home. While Timo Werner opened the scoring from the penalty spot a quarter of an hour into the game (1-0, 15th), Marco Rose’s men killed the game just before the break. Loïs Openda scored a double (40th, 45+3) while David Raum (43rd) scored his second goal of the season to put Leipzig away with a four-goal lead.

During a fairly calm second period, everything got wild again at the end of the period. Helped by the expulsion of Mathias Olesen (80th), Benjamin Sesko (88th), for his third goal of the season, and Christoph Baumgartner (90+1) added to the score at the very end of the match (6-0) . With this river score to its advantage, the RBL climbs to fourth place while Cologne remains seventeenth.
