Real Madrid appear certain to bring in a new striker in 2024, with Kylian Mbappé remaining their priority target in the coming months.

Los Blancos remain determined to bring in the French team captain on a free transfer next summer, as he pushes to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

Current rules mean Real Madrid can officially begin the process of signing Mbappé from the start of 2024, but the move is still ongoing, with PSG retaining lingering hopes of retaining their talisman.

If Real Madrid manages to secure the services of Mbappé, they will still have funds to recruit an additional striker, or possibly target another solution if the Frenchman remains in Paris.

Mexican international Santiago Gimenez, who has scored 28 Eredivisie goals since arriving from Cruz Azul in July 2022, is attracting interest from Feyenoord.

His form has attracted attention and Real Madrid have added him to their list of options, and club legend Jorge Valdano believes it could be a good move.

“It is too early to talk about his arrival at Real Madrid. Real Madrid’s number 9 is empty, but you have to wait your turn. The dream is Kylian Mbappé, but dreams don’t always come true”according to ESPNvia Mundo Deportivo.
