Joan Gaspart, ex-president of Barça, mocked the susceptibility of Merengue president Florentino Pérez.
The former president of FC Barcelona, Joan Gaspart, attacked Florentino Perez, the strong man of Real Madrid. Enough to raise the temperature a few hours before the confrontation between these two big names in La Liga.

“It’s a shame that Florentino Pérez won’t come to the Clasico,” Gaspart said. He is a great man as a person. He didn’t come as president of Madrid, we already know what happened with (Luis) Figo. He disappointed me a lot.”
“It’s not his style. continued Gaspart. He knows the history and knows that no illegality was committed. Why can’t Barça and Madrid sit down for dinner? If I had been president of Barça, I would have gone there. I did it after very difficult times, even though I didn’t like it. It’s part of the job, but the most important thing is the result and that we win.”
“There are sporting rivals and historical enemies accepted in Madrid. And that has always been the case. However, we all know what happened with Figo. I don’t like having enemies, but the day we won’t have any more…”, concluded Laporta’s predecessor.
