After having had a historic season last year punctuated by qualification for the Champions League, Union Berlin has come down from its clouds. Nothing is going right this season. Facing Naples in the Champions League, the Berliners conceded their 9th defeat in a row and are in 15th place in the Bundesliga. And if that wasn’t enough, there are big problems in the locker room.
According to information from Sky Sports, Union Berlin has just made the decision to suspend its striker Datro Fofana for a week. The 20-year-old young striker, on loan from Chelsea and who has still not scored this season, refused to shake the hand of his coach Urs Fischer when leaving against Naples. And although he later apologized publicly on his Instagram account, the club still decided to sanction him.
