Jadon Sancho’s third season at Manchester United has turned into a nightmare. Having publicly expressed his disagreement with his coach Erik ten Hag, the England international (23 caps, 3 goals) is today closer to a departure than a reconciliation. Under contract until 2026, the former Borussia Dortmund resident recruited for €85 million has in fact been sidelined for several weeks.
The Athletic also returned to this situation to explain the daily life of the player. We knew that Sancho was banned from training with the first team, but that’s not all. The British media explains that the Lambeth native must park his car outside his teammates’ parking lot. He will therefore park next to the training center building.
Even the MU staff don’t understand
To put on an outfit, there too, it’s different. Sancho is forced to change in the locker room of the training center and lock it. The reason ? To respect the protective measures, just to be sure that he does not inadvertently come across minors. Finally, even when it comes to eating, everything is done to make the player feel excluded. Sancho is not allowed to eat in the first team canteen. Someone brings him his food in a lunch basket outside.
As you will have understood, nothing is being done to attempt a reconciliation. Besides, The Athletic adds that some staff members believe that Sancho could have been treated better and that encouragement would have been more useful than such a sidelining. Finally, the main person concerned remains more than ever stuck to his positions, because he believes that players who performed less well in training were able to play. As a reminder, BVB and Juventus would be ready to put an end to his nightmare in January.
