Seasoned Spanish full-back Sergio Ramos has admitted he still believes in a return to the Iberian team.

Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos has admitted he still has hopes of being recalled to the Spanish squad.

Ramos to meet De La Fuente

The former Parisian is due to meet Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente soon to discuss his return to the national team. Before this interview, he told the press in his country: “It is true that the national team, everyone knows, is the dream that would bring me back and that does not depend on me. What depends on me is to give my best version, but it’s something that is there. It’s up to others to decide.”

The Andalusian is aware that a comeback within La Roja inevitably requires good performances with his club. “I continue with this hope and with the hope of continuing to give everything with my team which is the best way to show yourself. Little by little, I feel good, I accumulate minutes and I feel in my best shape.”

The 2010 world champion concluded by indicating that he is happy with what he is showing on the pitch since he returned home. “I came here with a very clear idea, that of giving the best of myself to Seville. And I’m happy about that.”
