The Auteuil corner of the Parc des Princes prepared an XXL tifo before the kick-off of PSG-Milan, Wednesday evening in the Champions League, but the massive use of pyrotechnic devices could be sanctioned by UEFA.
“ I have it in my sights like Belmondo “. The Ultra Paris Collective had prepared a hell of a tifo for PSG’s Champions League meeting against AC Milan on Wednesday for the third day. The group of supporters paid a wonderful tribute to Jean-Paul Belmondo, who supported the relaunch of the club in 1973 (three years after the change of name from Stade Saint-Germanois to Paris Saint-Germain).
As the players from both teams entered, the Auteuil corner then burst into flames: numerous smoke bombs were lit and small fireworks were launched in front of the stand, creating a rather exceptional atmosphere within the enclosure of the Porte de Saint-Cloud.
Last year, for the massive use of pyrotechnic devices before the reception of Juventus in C1, PSG was fined 34,250 euros by UEFA. The European body rarely closes corners for smoke bombs, but the Parisian club is therefore a repeat offender and will be in the sights while the third home match, against Newcastle, is scheduled for November 28.
