OM coach Gennaro Gattuso indicated that he was not completely satisfied with what Vitinha produced on the pitch.
Already in difficulty with Igor Tudor, Portuguese striker Vitinha risks experiencing a delicate period with another Marseille coach, in the person of Gennaro Gattuso.
Gattuso calls on Vitinha to improve
This Wednesday, at a press conference, the transalpine technician made it known that he was not happy with the productivity of his center forward. Without overwhelming him, he invited him to question himself and be more effective in what he does.
“I spoke with Vitinha, I told him that he had to be ready, that his moment was going to come. Our attackers do a very good job without the ball and that’s what he’s lacking, he needs to improve tactically,” Gattuso said.
While pointing out his faults to Vitinha, Gattuso invited his player to keep his spirits up and do what is necessary to bounce back: “I don’t want to see him sad. May he continue to train while smiling.”
This season, in 11 matches played, Vitinha has only been decisive twice. Two matches played under the orders of the previous coach, Marcelino. With Gattuso, he hasn’t even started yet.
