PSG coach Luis Enrique provided an interesting analysis of how his team is playing after the success against Racing.

PSG did the job this Saturday during the reception in Strasbourg. Just after the international break and four days before his duel against AC Milan in the Champions League, the French champion won without too much difficulty against the Alsatians (3-0). A victory which obviously pleased his coach Luis Enrique.

Luis Enrique congratulates his troops

At the final whistle, the Spanish coach expressed his satisfaction and praised his troops for the performance produced. “Important victory before Milan? I think it was especially an important match for the championship. We performed well and I am happy with what the players gave,” he confided on Amazon Prime.

Upon returning from the locker room, the pace of the match dropped somewhat. But that didn’t bother the Spanish technician too much. “It’s always difficult to do so well when you’re leading 2-0 but we insisted on having possession and creating as many chances as possible. But, once again, it’s an important performance.”

Finally, Luis Enrique also spoke about the tactics used, indicating that his team always seeks to be the most ambitious in the game. “We play in a 3-4-4 system when we move forward, but it’s true that we try to play as offensively as possible and get forward as quickly as possible. This is our philosophy and the players are progressing.”

With today’s success, PSG are provisional leaders of Ligue 1. They are ahead of AS Monaco by one point but with one more match.
