In Ligue 1, he is the first Marseille coach since Éric Gerets in 2007 to have lost two of his first three matches in Ligue 1. A complicated start despite the progress seen for the Marseille team. Reassuring point: Gerets’ OM finished 3rd in Ligue 1 during the 2007-2008 season.
