The illegal sports betting scandal involving Nicolo Zaniolo, Nicolo Fagioli and Sandro Tonali continues to cause scandal in Italy. The latest statements from the Juventus midfielder demonstrate the vicious spiral into which an addict can fall. The three players are far from being the only ones, as they explained to investigators. The latter are based in particular on the words of Fabrizio Corona, a man with a sulphurous past in Italy, but also a whistleblower.

Guest on the channel Channel 5, the paparazzo revealed three names of players who allegedly play online sports betting on illegal platforms. In the show Striscia la Notizia, he claims that Stephan El Shaarawy (Roma), Federico Gatti (Juventus) and Nicolò Casale (Lazio) are all involved in this network. If these are not the subject of a procedure at the moment, Corona supports his remarks with a video showing players talking about these bets while training.
