Zinedine Zidane now repeats it at each of his – rare – media appearances: without club since the end of his adventure at Real Madrid, in the summer of 2021, he can’t wait to find a sidelines. “ For the moment there is nothing, I am enjoying the family which is also important and then we will see later. There will always be rumors as long as I’m a coach, we’ll see.” he recently confided on the sidelines of the evening organized for the 100e anniversary of the arrival of the Agnelli family at the head of Juventus.
And if some readily imagine the 1998 world champion sitting on the bench of the Old Lady, the path mentioned with the most insistence leads once again to Real Madrid. According to certain Spanish media, the French technician would indeed be favored by Carlo Ancelotti, in search of a new coach to succeed Carlo Ancelotti, expected to join Brazil at the end of the season. Other names are nevertheless also mentioned, including that of Xabi Alonson, another former member of the Madrid house, very prominent since his big debut on the Bayer Leverkusen bench in the summer of 2022.
But for Guti, the choice is quickly made “ I think that, if we rely on the results, he is the best coach that Real Madrid has had in recent years. He knows the club, he knows Florentino, he knows how things go,” he confided to the microphone of the show El Chiringuito de Jugones, nevertheless adding: “He has the Real Madrid profile. There are profiles like those of Ancelotti or Zidane that Florentino likes, I think that Xabi Alonso also has this profile…”
