During Portugal’s match in Bosnia on Monday evening, a spectator jumped on Cristiano Ronaldo to take a selfie. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was hit in the ankle during the stampede.

Already qualified for Euro 2024, Portugal scored an eighth victory in as many matches in the qualifiers, winning 5-0 in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday evening. Cristiano Ronaldo further improved his legendary statistics, opening the scoring from the penalty spot (5th) before scoring on a serve from Joao Félix (25th). He gave up his place in the 66th minute.

But “CR7” also experienced a little scare, since a fan burst out of the stands, jumping on the back of his idol in the hope of taking a selfie. Except that security guards from the Zenica stadium instantly intervened and, after this little jostling, Ronaldo then complained of an ankle…

Bruno Fernandes (25th), Joao Cancelo (32nd) and Joao Félix (41st) scored the other three Portuguese goals in the first period. Roberto Martinez’s side will conclude their qualifying campaign against Liechtenstein and Iceland next month.
