Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal has praised his Spanish teammate and FC Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
Gavi and Carvajal both started the match for Spain in the 1-0 victory over Norway in the Euro qualifiers. Gavi’s goal against Norway in the 49th minute, which he scored with a header from inside the box, was the deciding factor in the match. Although both players play for La Liga’s two biggest rival clubs, Carvajal was full of praise for his Barcelona counterpart after the match.
“Sometimes you have to remember that Gavi is 19 years old… and that he is a starter at Barça and in Spain.” There is not much to add. It’s a pearl”Carvajal said.
The Spanish midfielder has made 11 appearances this season in all competitions as Xavi Hernandez’s starting midfielder, with two goals and an assist to his name. With already 25 caps with La Roja, he has established himself as an indisputable starter for Spain. He won the Golden Boy title last year and is widely considered one of the best young soccer players.
