The Palestinian selection welcomed by Algeria

Faced with the flaring Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Palestinian football team will find refuge in Algeria.

This Sunday, the Algerian Football Federation indicates in a press release that it will now host Palestinian matches, while assuming the costs linked to these matches.

“ Following the request made by the president of the Palestinian Football Federation, Mr. Jibril Rajoub, the FAF decided to host in Algeria all official and unofficial matches falling within the framework of the preparation of the Palestinian football selection for the 2026 World Cup and 2027 Asian Nations Cup qualifiers », Announces the Algerian authority.

Requested in this sense, the Palestinian Football Federation, Fifa and the AFC, the Asian Football Confederation, validated this desired relocation. Palestine will therefore host Australia in Algeria on November 21 as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
