From the same group, Spaniards and Scots won their ticket to Germany and Euro 2024 this Sunday evening.

Group A of the Euro 2024 qualifiers delivered its verdict this Sunday. In Norway, in Oslo, the Spaniards went to get their ticket for Germany, winning 0-1 thanks to a single goal from Gavi at the start of the second half (49e). A result shattering the qualification ambitions of Haaland’s partners. Unless there is a miracle allowing them to access the dams.

Conversely, Scotland, without playing today, already has the assurance of finishing like La Roja in one of the first two places in its group. A privilege already guaranteed for the French, the Portuguese and the Belgians in recent days. Most likely waiting for the Turks.

This Sunday, in fact, Calhanoglu’s teammates performed well against Latvia (4-0), thus asserting themselves in control of group D in front of the Welsh who at the same time were able to get the better of Croatia (2-1) . These last two nations could still dethrone Turkey but thanks to a combination of circumstances that is not very obvious.

Note the poor performance of Poland, held in check at home by Moldova (1-1) and now ahead of the Czech Republic, who easily disposed of the Faroe Islands (1-0) and takes the lead in the Albania in Group E. In a Group I made indecisive by the presence of Israel, Romania for its part performed well, leading thanks to its large victory over Andorra (4-0) combined with the spectacular draw between Switzerland and Belarus (3-3).
