Algeria announced this Sunday that it would host the Palestine team’s next matches.
The war in Israel and Gaza has a big impact on sports competitions in the region and Algeria has announced that it will host the next matches of the Palestine team, notably taking care of the organizational costs.
We note that Israel’s next meetings have been postponed, with no new date announced. Concerning Palestine, Algeria announced this Sunday that it would host future matches of the country’s team.
Algerian leaders made this request to Fifa, which accepted. “The FAF has decided to host in Algeria all official and unofficial matches as part of the preparation of the Palestinian football selection for the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup of Nations and cover all costs related to these events”, can we read in a press release published by the FAF.
As a reminder, the match between Palestine and Australia counting for World Cup qualifying will take place on November 21.
