Officially qualified for Euro 2024 in Germany, Didier Deschamps’ French team is on track to be among the top seeds in the draw, but could very well fall on Spain and Italy in its future group .
If the Euro 2024 qualifiers are still far from having delivered their verdict (with a new day until next Tuesday and the last two rounds scheduled for November), the hat of the top seeds in the draw (scheduled on December 2 in Germany) is still taking shape a little more. The hats are determined by the general ranking of the qualifiers and the Blues, who have validated their participation in the next European Nations Championship, are well on their way to being part of the first hat.
Portugal (author of a 7 out of 7), Belgium and England (undefeated leaders) should accompany the French team as well as the Mannschaft. Hungary, after its victory against Serbia (2-1) on Saturday, for its 4th success in 5 matches, now has a good chance of completing the grouping of the five seeds, according to projections from We Global Football. Spain is announced as winner of its group ahead of Scotland, but would not be part of the 5 best teams in the qualifiers.
In hat 2, in addition to La Roja, Switzerland, Denmark and Croatia could therefore be included, teams that Didier Deschamps’ selection knows very well. In hat 3, we would find Italy and the Netherlands (beaten twice by the EDF – and also 3rd in the group for the moment). Potential prestigious opponents who would raise the “level” of the group of 2022 world vice-champions during their continental quest next year (June 14-July 14).
