FC Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov has shown himself to be very concerned about the current management of his beloved club.
The Bulgarian admits he does not trust President Joan Laporta. He stated : “I am worried about the economic situation in Barcelona. The club is around €2,000 million in debt and now has to pay €1.2 billion to invest in the stadium. Every year this debt increases.”
“Barça is not in good hands”
The 1994 Ballon d’Or calls for a change of boss as quickly as possible: “There are things I believe, others I don’t. Economically, we are not in good hands. On a footballing level, yes, for everything he has done to sign players, the team is made, it is ready to win.”
“But what concerns me most is the economy. How do people explain Barcelona’s economy? With so much debt, sometimes they explain one thing, sometimes they explain something else and it depends. People don’t believe it. There are a lot of people who don’t believe it.”added a visibly very worried Stoichkov.
