PSG-Reims, a match in the Women’s D1 Championship, was interrupted early Saturday evening due to fireworks mortars.

The PSG-Reims commentator did not hesitate to speak of “ terror » seeing the match stopped barely a minute after the start of the second half. Firecrackers and what looked like firework mortar shots were sent onto the lawn of the Léo-Lagrange stadium in Poissy (Yvelines). The score was 0-0.

Panicked, the players and referees of this match on the 4th day of D1 rushed to the locker room. After 40 minutes of discussions, the organizers announced that the match would not resume this Saturday evening, due to failure to ensure complete security.

The projectiles originated, a priori, from an area located behind the tennis courts of this “interim” enclosure. PSG-Reims was to take place at Camp des Loges but mushroom problems pushed the capital club to repatriate to Poissy.
