Erling Haaland has admitted feeling a bit of pressure ahead of facing Spain this weekend.

La Roja arrived in Oslo for their Euro 2024 qualifier after winning 2-0 against Scotland in midweek.

Both teams are looking for a place in Germany next summer. Scotland need just two more points to secure one of the two automatic places in Group A.

Haaland scored twice in Norway’s 4-0 win in Cyprus, but the Manchester City striker was forced to comment on his growing popularity.

Security guards were deployed in Larnaca to ensure Haaland was helped off the pitch, amid a swarm of fans seeking photos and autographs.

“Of course, I greatly appreciate this support. “It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was little, so I’m not complaining,” he declared to TV2.

“I’m starting to get a little tired of hearing my own name, but that’s how it is. There’s not much I can do about it.”

Haaland’s double against Cyprus took his Norwegian goal tally to 27 goals in 27 caps, making him the second highest scorer in the country’s history.
