Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he has no plans to quit international football as he targets the Euro 2024 champion title.

The Al-Nassr striker scored twice in Friday’s 3-2 victory over Slovakia, which sent Portugal to the Euro 2024 final. After Goncalo Ramos headed in a cross from Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo converted the penalty to double the Selecao’s advantage.

In the second half, Slovakia reduced the lead through David Hancko, but Ronaldo was once again in the right place at the right time to score Portugal’s third goal, which proved to be the deciding factor in end of match.

After another landmark performance for his country, the 38-year-old striker has brushed off international retirement rumors and insisted he will be ready to bring home the Euro trophy next year.

“I hope I will be present at Euro 2024 because there is still a lot of time. I hope I don’t have any problems or injuries, I hope to play”, he told reporters.

“I left Portugal very early, but it will always be my home. They support me in all the stadiums in Portugal. We must also congratulate the Portuguese for the welcome they gave us and this qualification is also theirs.”
