Experienced defender Sergio Ramos has just confirmed that he has one more goal to achieve before hanging up his boots.

Sevilla FC veteran winger Juan Navas has shared some very interesting secrets about his club partner Sergio Ramos.

Sergio Ramos wants to play again with the selection

Navas is with the Spanish team this week to play in the Euro qualifiers and he revealed that he had discussed with Ramos about the latter’s return to La Roja. “Sergio told me he wanted to come back to the national team, it’s his dream and he would love to,” declared the 2010 world champion.

The question of Ramos’ return to the selection was raised at Luis De La Fuente’s last press conference. The latter did not completely close the door to this possibility, but he stressed that for the moment he trusts the players he has at his disposal at the moment.

Navas was not the only one to speak out on the Ramos case. Nolito, his former teammate in the selection, also campaigned for his return: “If he maintains the level he has with Sevilla, he will return to the national team. If I were a coach, I would take it with my eyes closed, but that’s my opinion.”

Sergio Ramos has 180 matches for his country. Only five players have more capes than him in the world. His last selection, however, dates back to March 2021. Luis Enrique did not select him for the World Cup in Qatar due to his checkered first season at PSG.
