According to the Iranian press, Cristiano Ronaldo was sentenced to 99 lashes for hugging a single woman, which is considered adultery.
Cristiano Ronaldo is in turmoil in Iran. During his club Al-Nassr’s trip to Tehran, during a Champions League match against Persepolis, the Portuguese striker met the Iranian painter Fatima Hamami. The paralyzed artist is a declared fan of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, and the latter embraced her when posing for the photo.
Problem is, hugging a single woman is considered a sin in Iran, and even adultery. The Spanish press cites the Iranian portal “Sharq Emroz”, which reports that a large number of Iranian lawyers have filed complaints against this embrace. Iranian justice even reacted quickly and sentenced Ronaldo to 99 lashes, which the Portuguese is supposed to receive during his next trip to Iran.
“CR7” could therefore be arrested and whipped if he goes to Iran again. This could be the case during the rest of this Asian Champions League, depending on Al-Nassr’s progress.
