Engaged this season in the Europa League, OM, Stade Rennais and TFC have already received bonuses from UEFA.
After two days played in the Europa League, Marseillais, Rennais and Toulouse are already reaping the fruits of their European commitment. For their qualification in the main tournament, the three Ligue 1 teams have already received a bonus of 3.4 million euros – a bonus which will be accompanied by a bonus next October, of several hundred thousand euros, reports the specialty site Sportune.
According to the UEFA coefficient, and according to past continental feats of arms, OM, eighth in the hierarchy out of the 32 clubs entered in the competition, pockets 3.3 million euros more. Rennes pockets 2.244 million euros on this same variable; Toulouse 1.452 million euros. In total, 6.7 million euros fell into the coffers of the Phocaeans; 5.64 million euros in those of the Bretons; 4.85 million euros for the benefit of Haut-Garonnais.
The following bonuses will be added to these amounts depending on performance:
630,000 euros per victory in the group stage and 230,000 euros for a draw.
1.5 million euros for a first place in the group; 550,000 euros for second place.
The dam will bring in 500,000 euros more; qualification in the round of 16 1.2 million euros; a quarter 1.8 million euros; a half 2.8 million euros and the final 4.6 million euros. Finally, the winner of the trophy will be awarded a bonus of 8.6 million euros.
