Author of a sluggish start to the season with PSG, Ousmane Dembélé is injured in a thigh and should be preserved this Friday evening for Netherlands-France, in Amsterdam.
Hard blow for Ousmane Dembélé. The Paris Saint-Germain striker is injured in a thigh, and could be out of the meeting between the Netherlands and the French team, this Friday in Amsterdam, in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The former Barça player has been suffering from this thigh since PSG’s trip to Rennes last Sunday. As a precaution, he missed the Blues’ last training sessions, Wednesday and Thursday. Logically, it is his competitor Kingsley Coman who should occupy the right flank of the French attack at the Johan-Cruyff Arena. And Dembélé could be preserved, by not coming into play.
L’Equipe indicates that the former Dortmund winger is used to thigh problems, and that he is progressing in managing his body, learning to stop at the right time, at the slightest warning. This new little glitch, however, is not good news. While he has had a mixed start to the season with PSG, with 2 assists in 9 games, and especially big gaps in finishing (0 goals), Dembélé will give Coman an opportunity to shine in a match important.
The probable composition of the Blues: Maignan – Clauss, Konaté, L. Hernandez, T. Hernandez – Griezmann, Tchouaméni, Rabiot – Coman, Kolo Muani, Mbappé.
