Having left Paris Saint-Germain at the age of 30 and after eleven years of good and loyal service, Marco Verratti bounced back in Qatar, with Al-Arabi. A few weeks after his departure from the capital, the Italian took the time to sit down to take stock of his years in Paris. The opportunity to come back to your very often criticized lifestyle.

“It’s my way of being. For me, football has always been a game. Afterwards, I have a life. The pleasures I had were going to a restaurant, having a glass of wine when there was no training. There are players who hide, I have always assumed responsibility, in life as well as on the pitch. I think people like me a little bit for that too: they see that I’m normal. I knew the times when I could eat with my friends, go out clubbing when I was younger. (…) I have always been very professional”he told The Team.
