At the end of this season, Kylian Mbappé will have to make a big decision about his future.

His contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, and with Real Madrid in his sights, he must decide the rest of his career.

He already had to make a similar decision in 2022, when he finally rejected Real Madrid to extend his stay at PSG. This time, things will be different for the 24-year-old, as he will no longer have a familiar face to count on.

Mbappé’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has been his agent since he broke into football, but as reported Marca, this will no longer be the case. Lamari does not have the required license to be an agent following new legislation adopted by FIFA, meaning the Bondynois must look for a new representative.

Lamari can become a registered agent again, but not until next May at the earliest. This means that his son must dictate his own future until then, or find an agent. Given the decision he must make regarding his future, these developments are far from ideal.

It remains to be seen whether these changes will have a significant effect on Mbappé’s future. It seems increasingly likely that he will join Real Madrid next summer, but a change of agency could change everything…
