Since the start of the season, Toni Kroos has shown that age is just a number. The 33-year-old is in excellent form with Real Madrid, as has been the case for several years.
In recent weeks, Kroos has managed to establish himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI, even if younger players like Aurélien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga were preferred to him at the start of the season.
However, this season could well be Kroos’ last in a Real Madrid shirt. His contract expires next summer and The Hard Tackle (reports that Pep Guardiola wants to sign him for Manchester City.
Guardiola coached Kroos at Bayern Munich in the 2013-14 season, after which he joined Real Madrid. The former FC Barcelona coach wants a reunion, which could be possible since Man City would be ready to offer Kroos a contract worth 15 million euros per season.
The problem Man City could face is that Kroos has already stated that he wants to finish his career at Real Madrid, and so it could be very difficult to persuade him to join the club next summer.
