The Real striker made a very striking statement to French media.

Vinicius Jr is currently with the Brazilian selection. Being with his national team allows him to change, especially since club life is not always rosy. In Spain, he often faces problems of racism.

Vinicius Jr: “If I am alone in the face of racism…”

The number 7 of Real Madrid is even the player in La Liga who suffers the most from this scourge. Every away match, he goes through hell. And there are even venues that are particularly hostile to it, like the Mestalla in Valencia.

For now, Vinicius Jr is holding his own against these attacks. He tries not to break down. But he makes it clear that he won’t be able to do it forever. “If I face racism alone, the system will crush me,” he declared in an interview with France Football, to be published next Saturday.

Despite the problems he encounters, Vinicius remains loyal to Real Madrid for the moment and does not consider for a second a departure elsewhere. Last April, he said he wanted to stay at the Bernabeu forever. Words to which he added actions since reports indicate an agreement with his management for a new five-year contract.
