According to information from Ali Al-Harbi, Saudi journalist, Cristiano Ronaldo would have planned to initiate the last dance of his career during the 2026 World Cup.

After twenty years playing at the highest level in Europe, Cristiano Ronaldo (38 years old) offered himself a golden retirement by signing in January 2023 for Al-Nassr for a record contract of 200 million euros per year.

If we are to believe the Saudi journalist Ali Al-Harbi, the five-time Ballon d’Or now intends to hang up his boots for good after the next World Cup organized jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico. With this objective, the Portuguese star, whose contract expires in June 2025, would like to extend with the Riyadh team until the beginning of 2027.

The former Madrilenian would thus see his contract expire shortly after participating in his sixth and final World Cup with the Seleção. He would therefore end his career, just like a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, at the age of 41.
