Vinicius is a key piece in Real Madrid’s short and long term project. After joining the Iberian capital in 2018, the left winger has gained strength over the seasons to become one of the best players in the world today. With his contract expiring in 2024, the Merengue leaders found an agreement last season to extend their gem until 2027. At the same time, the Brazilian would benefit from a large salary increase which will allow him to have one of the biggest fees of the club fourteen times winner of the Champions League.

However, this extension has still not been made official. While it was to take place just before this international break, the fact that Florentino Perez tested positive for Covid-19 delayed the deadline. Finally, according to the latest indiscretions of Relevo, Vinicius and the Real Madrid boss should pose together with pen in hand next week. While “Vini” will be back after his international internship with Brazil, the President of the White House should be operational and recovered from Covid. Good news for Real Madrid and its supporters.
